How it all began

Convenience, comfort and control is something every woman should feel each month, especially around their period. This was the reason why we started sending women tampons and pads in the post, and why we continue to search for new products and information that can make women's lives better.

Back then we were known as Sanitary Owl and it was just the two of us; packing boxes of tampons and pads from our living rooms. Today, we are DAME, and send all things period related, plus a little bit more, to thousands of women around the UK.

Celia

Celia

Co-founder

Celia is the brains behind the boxes. She uses organic products, which are often hard to source. As a mother of two and co-founder of a business, time is short. So for her, as for many of our customers, convenience is queen.

Alec

Alec

Co-founder

Alec never saw himself as a tampon salesman, but here he is, a tampon salesman. Since co-founding the company, he’s written about abolishing tampon tax and the importance of confidence in teenage girls, and believes passionately about addressing the waste from using plastic applicators.
